Kristofor‘s work deals with human intervention in the landscape, a central theme of the Anthropocene. She examines how landscapes are changed, used, and designed. In addition to physical change, she also focuses on psychological and perceptual aspects. She understands landscape as a palimpsest on which new cultural and identity-forming layers are continuously inscribed. Her own personal history of migration and the associated questions of home and belonging form the starting point for her artistic exploration.
