Kristofor & Kleymenova is an artist duo consisting of Elena Kristofor and Olesya Kleymenova – both live and work in Vienna and are independent artists who came together through the Phantom project.
Phantom stems from the artists’ exploration of themes such as space, time, and the connection between the natural and the artificial. Human self-perception through the environment, as well as the distortion of space in the human gaze, are further subjects of inquiry in their artistic practice. Kristofor & Kleymenova work primarily with the medium of photography and use, among other things, crystals and mirrors for their projects.
Phantom has been ongoing since 2015, has already been shown in several exhibitions, and has taken on numerous forms during this time.
